We always train to the highest standard. We dont simply train you to pass the DSA qualifying exams, we train you to become one of the best instructors in the country - to enhance and continue to build our excellent driving school and instructor training reputation.

 

Even if you do not work ultimately for our driving school you still receive the same quality of taining - as reputation and word of mouth is an extremely powerful tool - you will be able to recommend us further down the line.

 

 

 

Training and Requirements:

 

A driving instructor needs to be an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills. You will need to be reasonably flexible with your working hours and be able to keep good time to pre arranged appointments. You will also be required to work in a professional and proper manner.

 

There are specific legal requirements that are necessary to initially becomingregistered as a Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor (DSA ADI):-

 

  • You will have held a full British car driving licence for at least three and a half years.
  • You will be at least 21 years of age.
  • You will not have been disqualified from driving within the past four years.
  • All criminal convictions, including motoring offences will be taken in to account when the Driving Standards Agency assess your suitability to be registered as an ADI
  • You must be able to read a car registration number plate from a distance of 90ft.
  • You must successfully pass the three DSA qualifying examinations to fully qualify.

 

The three parts of the examination process for qualifying and registration as an ADI are:

 

  • Part One: A theory test - an hour and half multiple choice theory test and hazard perception awareness.
  • Part Two: A one hour practical test of your abilty to drive
  • Part Three: A one hour practical test of your ability to instruct.

Our instructor training course is specifically designed and packaged to ensure you the highest possible chance of passing the qualifying exams. We have worked closely with DSA over the years to ensure that our training is tailored precisely with DSA expectations.

 

 

As all people are different we only train each individual on a one to one basis, in the correct environment - in the car (rather than group or classroom based teaching) which has resulted in us maintaining a qualification rate of over 90%
